Hello stamping friends!!
If you are looking for the current challenge, click here.
Well, it took MUCH longer than expected to pick the new additions to the Design Team!
There were so many lovely entries and it was so hard to choose.
Thank you so much to everyone who applied to the DT Call.
We are here today to announce the new team...
Dawn Baty - US/Canada Team (Missouri)
Hello! My name is Dawn. I've been married for 21 yrs to my wonderfully supportive husband. We have two kids, daughter who is 14 yrs and a son who is 10 yrs old. They keep us busy with school activities. I'm also a caregiver who works from home. And I love my job.
When I'm not working I love creating cards, it's a great way to unwind after a busy day. Just being able to sink my fingers into scrappy/craft goodies does it all. Also I love to gardening and doing many outdoor activities.
I'm excited to be part of the Wags N Whiskers Design Team.
Here is a gorgeous card created by Dawn using "With Love"
Tammy Louise - US/Canada Team (Michigan)
I am a Gerber Daisy loving Marilyn Monroe wanna be. I live in Michigan with my husband of 24 years, my teen autistic son and 2 of the cutest four legged long haired mini doxi's on the planet, (well in my opinion anyway). My crafting started at 8 or 9 years old, crochet, painting, floral design, ceramics, cross stitch, and I made sure to sew most of my childrensHalloween costumes. I think I've done just about everything except interior design, then again, I think my husband would disagree! hehe. I've been creating greeting cards about 10 years now and have been very fortunate in meeting the vendors that retail my birthday, anniversary, valentines day and thinking of you creations. Only 2 years ago I found a retailer for some of my more vintage, animal and boutique style cards. I sell cards in 5 or more craft shows a year. I've never found a technique class I could pass up because I love to learn, experiment and socialize with other crafters. We are the friendliest and happiest people I've ever met. Maybe because we do what we love! I leave an inspirational though for the day every day on all my posts because while we live in a very busy, high tech, and sometimes complicated world . . . it's very easy to forget to stop and smell the roses!
Check out this beautiful card from Tammy using "Hannah"
Diane Ahlers - Guest DT US/Canada Team (Arizona)
My name is Diane. I’ve been married to my husband Tom for 35 years and have three kids (grown), four cats and two adopted guinea pigs. I’m a sucker for cute furry animals. I work in Special Education in an elementary school in Northern Arizona and am looking forward to retirement in just a few years. I started making cards in 2010 and it has become my passion. After a rough day at work nothing is as relaxing as coloring a digi and putting a card together.
And here his Diane's adorable card using "Love you Sis"...
Now this DT call was originally only for the US/Canada Team, but when we received an email from the following stamper, we just HAD to add her, too!
Deborah Hughes - UK
I live in Manchester, England with my boyfriend Jayse & my beautiful 3 year old baby girl. I have worked in the Dance & Theatre industry for over 10 years where I have taught in many local dance schools, some of the Professional Colleges, and worked as a Professional Dancer. I got into Papercrafting around 3 years ago & was instantly hooked! Now after winning Papercrafter of the Year with Simply Cards & Papercrafts magazine I do commissions for them & I have recently set up my own blog. I've had such an amazing & unbelievable response - its been like a whilrwind & I have now accepted onto several design teams. I enjoy stamping & painting with Distress Inks, but more generally what I love about Papercrafting is how you can create such different looks with each project. I can't wait to share papercrafting with you & get to know evenyone too! - Happy Crafting, Deb.x
Make sure to check out her blog to see her amazing creations!
Of course, they whole team will be back next week with a new challenge.
In the mean time, the current challenge is: diecuts and punches
